Nestled in a peaceful setting with secure gardens and plenty of space to explore, we offer a relaxed, home-from-home experience tailored to the needs of our littlest guests. Our focus is on comfort, companionship, and gentle adventure—whether it’s a playful romp in the garden, a scenic walk, or a quiet nap in a sunlit corner. While we love all dogs, our space is best suited to smaller breeds, including those with plenty of energy! By keeping things intimate and size-appropriate, we ensure every guest receives the care, attention, and fun they deserve.

How it Works
Professional Care
Welcome to our home! We joyfully accept well-mannered dogs who can settle in comfortably and get along with other dogs. A meet-and-greet is a wonderful opportunity to ask any questions while enjoying a cuppa in your dog's familiar surroundings, and we’ll also complete the required form for the authority to keep things professional. The trial walk and overnight stay are offered at a discounted rate—20% off our usual price! We prefer to pick up and drop off dogs in our comfy air-conditioned doggie van for a stress-free experience. Our catchment area extends within a 6-mile radius of Sunflower Cottage in Bere Alston, located in the stunning Tamar Valley. This service is free, but we can go farther for a small fee. We love all doggies, but we need to ensure there is harmony in the cottage, so dogs are matched with others who may be staying. Please reach out with your specific needs—we’re here to assist you!

Welcome to Sunflower Cottage Pet Care, where we have been providing dedicated care for your cherished animals since2015. As the sole operator, Cassie brings extensive experience with horses, her beloved alpacas, and a variety of other animals, ensuring your pets are in capable hands. We offer personalized visits for your cats, ensuring they are well-fed, their litter is maintained, and your home is secure. Additionally, we are equipped to assist with horses, alpacas, llamas, poultry, and smallholdings—please feel free to contact us to discuss your specific requirements. To maintain our high standards of care and to respond promptly when needed, we offer services within a 30-minute drive from Sunflower Cottage in Bere Alston. However, we encourage inquiries from all potential clients, as I may still be able to assist you.
Our rates are £15 per visit for cats and poultry, and £20 per visit for larger animals such as horses and alpacas for up to an hour of attentive care. Rest assured, your pets will receive the love and attention they deserve while you are away.
